Executive Team and Board Development

Transform your Leadership Team

Team Meeting
Overview

Our approach to team-building is based on sound research of what makes teams successful.  Out of this research comes a clear applied methodology that enables teams to build capacity and real skill in working together.

At LeadingCulture our work with leadership teams is generative and designed to build the capacity of the team to achieve exemplary results.  We begin by developing a clear understanding of how the team is functioning, the team’s current state and map this against the high performing team characteristics.  To do this, we will conduct a brief survey to gain their perspective.

The added benefit of engaging the team prior to the sessions is that they become part of the process and feel included and engaged.  This builds ownership and commitment to the outcomes. We are “working with the team”, rather than “doing to them”

Team Meeting

Leadership teams must excel at developing

Shared Purpose

Executive Teams and Boards are highly effective in establishing and communicating a clear sense of purpose for the team. They ensure that all team members understand and accept the team’s mission, goals, and desired outcomes. By doing so it empowers team members to work collaboratively and effectively, while providing a clear framework for decision-making and progress tracking

Clear process

Boards and Executive Teams are skilled at establishing and implementing effective team processes that enable the team to achieve its shared purpose. By identifying and implementing the most effective processes, they ensure that team members have the necessary resources and support to work collaboratively towards a common goal.

Excellent Relationships

Boards and Executive Teams excel at fostering strong interpersonal relationships amongst team members. They recognize the importance of building trust, respect, and open communication.

Relationships make or break team success
Beyond all the strategies for team performance are the relationships that hold them together. Relationship Intelligence (RQ) is the metric that matters most but often gets addressed least.

The Strength Deployment Inventory

Understanding the dynamics within executive teams and boards is crucial for achieving lasting success. The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) offers a powerful tool for this purpose, providing deep insights into individual motivations and conflict management styles. By leveraging SDI, leaders can foster a collaborative environment, enhance communication, and drive strategic alignment among board members and executives. This approach not only elevates individual performance but also transforms the collective efficiency of the leadership team, paving the way for innovative growth and harmonious decision-making.

RQ Elevates Team Collaboration

Team productivity thrives on collaboration. The most effective teams embrace diversity, honor varied perspectives, and align individual strengths towards shared objectives. RQ facilitates this by uniting teams with a shared language and timely relational insights. With enhanced self-awareness and an appreciation for diverse communication styles, teams with high RQ can channel their collective energy towards achieving meaningful goals.
